DNS Filtering
Protect your devices from accessing malicious online content.
A DNS Filter removes the stress and worry of accidentally clicking on a malicious link. It protects you and your staff from phishing links in emails and malvertising links on websites. You can also optionally lock down content for increased productivity.

Block Malicious Content
One accidental click on a link in an email will cause your device to be infected. It’s that quick. A DNS Filter blocks your device from accessing unsafe content at all times.
Filter Content
Optionally block non-approved websites (like social media) to increase productivity during work hours and schedule more relaxed rules for after hours.
Reporting and Analysis
Report on sites being accessed, which threats have been mitigated and control access for different employees based on their job roles and requirements.

How Does DNS Filtering Work?
DNS is the phonebook of the Internet. Every time you open a link, your device asks DNS for the link’s IP address. Your device then connects to that IP Address to download the content.
A DNS Filter adds an extra check that categorises the content you are about to connect to. Categories such as News, Social Networking, Malicious, Gambling and many more.
If the content is categorised as malicious, phishing or malware, the DNS filter redirects the user to a safe block page, letting them know that the content is unsafe.
How is this different from my Antivirus software?
Antivirus software protects your device from downloading and installing known threats. Some antivirus software also includes a firewall which protects your device from outside attacks.
It won’t protect you from socially engineered schemes like phishing emails. These look like genuine emails from your bank or online service, designed to trick you into logging in using your credentials. The hacker then uses the collected information to log into the real site as if they were you. A DNS filter knows the difference between genuine and phishing sites, so you are always protected.
Zero-day threats are new viruses that your antivirus software doesn’t know yet. Until your software updates its virus definitions, you are not protected. A DNS filter blocks malicious content as unsafe before you can access it.
Even if your device becomes infected, a DNS filter blocks your infected device from uploading content to hackers and stops the spread of the virus across your network.
Does using a DNS filter slow down my internet?
Our DNS filter is super-fast, in fact, it’s probably faster than your Internet Service Providers own DNS. Your web browsing is not only safer but also faster.
